Figma Ultimate Madoka Review

So, uh. This entire review (the character) is pretty much one big fat spoiler. I won’t say anything that’ll spoil the series, besides the character name. PLEASE READ WITH CAUTION

ultimate_madoka_by_yukihomu-d5f21t0This review is on Ultimate Madoka, Madokami, or Godoka from Puella Magi Madoka Magica! Puella Magi Madoka Magica (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magika?, “Magical Girl Madoka of the Magus“) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Shaft and Aniplex. The series is directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and written by Gen Urobuchiwith original character designs by Ume Aoki, character design adaptation by Takahiro Kishida and music by Yuki Kajiura.[2] The first ten episodes aired in Japan on TBS and MBS between January and March 2011, while the final two episodes were delayed until April 2011 due to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

Ultimate Madoka is Madoka Kaname’s final form. Although her appearance was short, it had an impact on the figure making industry since scale figures, Figmas, and Nendoroids have been made of her!

Here she is in all her glory! Madokami is an extremely heavy figure, the typical Figma stand can barely hold her up. In Yami Usagi’s Review of her she uses a Di-Stage. You should check out her blog if you haven’t already, it’s super awesome! Anyway back to the review.

IMG_2828Madokami’s massive wings are colored with a light pink gradient on the ends, which adds to the overall beauty of the figure.

IMG_2838Her huge skirt is in three ball-jointed parts that can be moved around as you please! Her skirt is super detailed and the main point of the figure. The ruffles and folds in the layers make it look realistic. It’s made of hard plastic and connects to the stand. The dress reminds me of a jellyfish!

Her long hair and little twin tails are all on ball joints. Her belly button can be seen from the front of her dress. Since her dress is so giant Madokami can simply balance on it if you’ve had enough of the stand.

IMG_2848As you can see in this picture the wings are attached to two holes in the main hair piece

You have to plug in the three pieces of hair into this pink piece. The long pieces are hard plastic but the shorter part over it is made of soft PVC.

From here you can see her winged shoes (like Hermes!) And the inside of her skirt. I love the skirt on the inside because it is painted with a beautiful shade of purple and dotted with stars like the universe!

On the accessories. Madokami comes with two faces. One is a gentle smiling face…

IMG_2866The other is a more combat ready face!

IMG_2871Madokami comes with special hands to hold her bow and arrow. She has two of these special looking arrows and two normal ones. The bow and arrows are super fragile, so handle them carefully!

Here are the normal ones.

_To Sum it Up_

Madokami is a stunning and well-made Figma. She’s essential to complete you Madoka collection. Even though she doesn’t come with much she should be  by no means your first Figma. She’s large, fragile, and difficult to handle. I can’t stop you though if you really want her as your first, but be careful.
